PRP Therapy in Fort Washington, PA

ABOUT PRP THERAPY

Dr. Aradhna Saxena is pleased to offer platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP) at Spa 361 at the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Institute to help rejuvenate your appearance. PRP therapy is one of the hottest cosmetic procedures on the aesthetic market because of its natural method and promising results. It utilizes your own plasma to stimulate your skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Many people combine PRP treatments with microneedling for enhanced results. If you are interested in PRP therapy, contact Spa 361 at the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Institute to schedule a private consultation. We have two locations in the Greater Philadelphia area. We will be happy to discuss all the benefits of PRP and how it can help to improve your skin.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

Most patients who want to improve their skin tone and texture are usually great candidates for PRP therapy. Since it naturally promotes collagen production, it is also a great treatment option if you have tired or dull-looking skin. Talk to Dr. Saxena or your skilled aesthetician if you have certain skin conditions, blood disorders, or anemia to ensure that it is safe for you to receive PRP therapy.

PROCEDURE TECHNIQUE

Once you are seated comfortably in one of our private treatment rooms, a small amount of blood will be drawn from your arm and placed in a centrifuge machine. Typically, we draw about four tablespoons, or one vial, of blood. After about 15 minutes, the different components of the blood will be separated and ready for injection. We will place the concentrated plasma into a sterile syringe and inject it into the designated areas of your face. The PRP injection process usually only takes about five minutes, but this will vary with each patient.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Platelet-rich plasma naturally promotes collagen production and elastin to create tighter and younger-looking skin. Since it utilizes your own blood, there is no risk of allergic or adverse reactions. You should expect your face to be a little red after treatment, as some traces of red blood cells will be included in the plasma injections. A cold pack can be applied to the injection sites to ease any discomfort or minor swelling. We generally recommend that you receive treatments every 4 – 6 weeks.

GLOWING SKIN

After having PRP therapy, your skin will be healthier and brighter than before and will give off a beautiful, glowing appearance. This procedure is ideal for those who appreciate a natural method of skin rejuvenation that yields stunning results. If you are interested in this innovative procedure, contact one of our locations in Fort Washington or Lansdale, PA to schedule a consultation with an experienced aesthetician.
